When we view the source code of a page in
Wikipedia, “nofollow” attribute is embedded with the links to avoid spamming and commercial links, since Wiki is "Great Open Source" and a mini Library!!!
If SE’s views this “nofollow” attribute then it will,
NOT follow through to that page, NOT count the link in calculating PR link popularity scores, NOT count the anchor text!!
This latest update was implemented in Wikipedia!!
