I agree with the keywords part but before that should come the content part as it is the foremost important thing for any website . It is the base where the websites sits on . Nothing is more important than choosing the correct keywords. They are the terms that are typed by users when searching for something in a search engine and having these on your site is a sure fire way to get your site noticed.Then linking is another good thing but making sure the relevancy and not overdoing this part just to gain a mileage . Avoid overt use of images that not only make your site difficult to load but also search engines cant read through images.Also the page structure and design tells about the seriousness of the website .
