Where to find quality, reliable partners online?
Hi there,
I was told that one cannot build an empire online by himself, that he needs partners and joint ventures and all, hmmm, interesting theory, so, if I'm interested to look for a partner, where and how would I be able to find it, are there any legal documents to sign?
What about trust and reliability? How would I know if I could trust these future-partners?
Or if I'm suddenly offered a partnership, how would I be able to judge if they're good or bad, what about payments? Say if it's a 50-50% profit sharing, how would I be sure that thye will pay me at the end of the day, if they don't how do I go about collecting my payment, with all these fuss, e-partners, are they really that important? Or just another hype from the scammers?

Trust is always an issue as well as reliability. YOu can never really be sure if who you are going into business with is reliable or not. But if you get in contact with another company and they are willing to do business with you and you are willing to do business with them then you could form some sort of contract stating you will receive such and such like 50% of the sales and your partner will receive 50% of the sales from eachothers promotion of the products.
By doing this and working together you can help eachother out. If you don't do this there are still many ways to create an empire and Joint Ventures are just another way of doing so. Other ways would include making a backup or revision to your product that has improvements. Make sure the improvements have value to the customers. This will allow you to keep your customers coming back for more and ultimately put more money in your pocket!!!

You raised some very good points regarding joint ventures.
I think it's all about reliability and trust. You need to do your own little research into your potential partner, whether it's someone you've received a partnership invitation from or a joint venture you're eying. Type the name of that person on a search engine and see what you come up with. Visit their website and see how professional an image he conveys. Does he have a phone number? That's a must IMO! E-mails just don't cut it! Get on the phone and talk to him / her on a personal basis. You'll get a much better and braoder idea about a person by speaking to him than simply reading his email or faxes. Besides, you will iron out any details regarding endorsments, payments and tracking orders.
Get references from other people who dealt with, either as customers or partners. Ask around in popular forums in your niche market, and stress about the reliability and trustworthiness of your potential partner.
Only then do you take the step in engaging in a partnership or joint venture.

This is a nice point to discuss about.
Three are lots of online ventures that require joint partnership.
But, it is really a difficult matter to get the right partner. The main thing is which one should be trusted.
I think if you don't have any physical connection with concerned person, you should think twice before stepping in to a online venture with him.

the internet is the worst place to look for a trustable partner, it's so easy to scam people nowadays

there's no guarantee for avoiding scams, but it;s always good to do your research to an unbelieavable extent, just to be safe,
google and yahoo your stuff like crazy for days or weeks, add in "scam" in your search, and check out forums too, if nothing came out like a red flag alert, go on with it, if there's a red flag alert, don't fool yourself into not believing it and just dive in right into the scam ok

I know somewhere i posted that 98% of the online community are good, and only 2% are bad, well, in this instance, it could very well be the other way round hahahahha
the original one i meant was for merchants selling to customers, that you can trust 98% of the buyers not to abuse your products and services, the ratio is definitely different for joint venture partners

anything's a risk,
if ya want a calculated risk, well, partner with someone you know personally,
or, invest in some money, visit the people you wanna be partners with and survey them silently,
but the internet being so huge, it's not easy to survey about every potential partner
try this, list up a set of things and a set or resources to check the background of the companies you're interested to do business with, everytime you come across a potential partner, just do the routine, go thru the list, after a while, you should have a good grasp on how to check up companies for these kinda situations
