Default Achieving higher Google ranking with Google Adsense

Hey guys,

It's funny but many people seem to think that by hvaing Google Adsense Ads, you can rank higher in Google Rankngs.

What's funnier, you'll get lower rankings in Yahoo & MSN.

lol
To clear up, its simply not true. 100% myth, rumours, so far, there isn't any evidence of this being true.

These people think that just because you put AdSense on your site Google will automatically come and crawl your site.

Although it does, it uses a different spider.

The AdSense bot is a Google Media Partners, while the Natural organic search algorithm uses the Googlebot spider.

This means that even if Google media partners visit you, it makes no different to your ranking. Anyone who checks their server logs properly will have seen this.

So, if you're jamming up your site with Adsense hoping to get better rankings, lol, you're not gonna get there.

Go for good linkings, reciprocal links, blog at google partner sites and leave your domain name as your signature or something, that's even better than hoping for Adsense to bring you your rankings, some extra Adsense money perhaps is more doable

Hi Natasha,

Did you mean placing ads with Google? as in Adwords not Adsense?

Yes, I've seen a lot of people claim to have seen a boost in their rankings / PR after they've placed ads with Google, using the Adwords network. Their reasoning was that Google was giving weight to Adwords in its algorithm. I have to say I've seen quite odd (and poor) SERPs topped by search comparison sites (like Kelkoo) for many competitive keywords. Content-rich websites had to play second-fiddle to these sale-driven websites, which incidentally happen to be major advertisers with Google Adwords :?

I am not buying into this "Adwords boost your rankings / PR" thing, but I have to say I have my doubts. For instance, going through the backlinks of one of my sites, I can still see a link back from an Ad placed from Adwords with one independent publisher. My compaign has long been withdrawn since, yet the backlink is still there.

Anyone care to explain?

As I can tell she was reffering to Adsense and she is totally right!
However , if it's the Adwords we are talking about then you are right athmane.

Ok , now , everybody happy ...

So just to clear up the confusion, does Google Adsense give you a higher Google Pagerank or not? I guess it makes sense that it gives you a higher Google rank but a lower Yahoo or MSN rank. But then, if you used Yahoo ads would you get a higher Yahoo rank?

Google adsense ads do not in any way increase your website's rankings . It is just that people think that if you use use a program by google they will have a preference to your website and it will be a automatic step in increasing the website's rankings . But that is just not true , you need to work other ways for it , Page title remains one of the highest ranking factors. Nothing new under the sun, but do pay attention to how you build your titles in order to make this truly effective.
