Default Sites for legal information

I was looking for a site for information on the legal jargan that needs to be present on my site. I mean I need that stuff to protect my business right? Or do I need it at all...I mean if I was to start a business where I am selling information and I say results may very or vary wouldn't that cover me or do I need a bit more?

If anyone is having the same types of troubles that I am please let me know or if you have figured out this legal stuff drop us newbs a hint or two cause not everyone knows exactly what to do and honestly there is no sense is hoarding all the information for yourself or maybe there is.

hope to hear from you soon

Good question Cloud.

If you collect user information (such as email addresses, cookies etc) then it is essential to have a Privacy Policy, wherein you explain the use of this information to your site visitors. For instance, e-mail addresses are strictly to never be sold for third parties, subscribers to your newsletters have the option of signing out etc.
Check out this beginner's guide here: http://www.the-dma.org/privacy/creating.shtml

Remember that there are privacy laws in place, so your privacy policy should comply with existing regulations.

Do remember to make sure you check that there arent any other regulations that you need to have on your site according to the business laws of the country you reside in. For example if you sell products such as wine, country's differ in their minimal age for cosnumer sot purchase this.
make sure that you have written that you are unable to sell to persons under the age of (18 0r 21 whatever it is where you reside)
