Frequently used programs

What programs do you frequently use?

Everyone has a suite of applications they constantly use. List them here with any reccomendations for others.

Personally, I use:

- Firefox
- XMMS
- Thunderbird
- Adobe Photoshop CS2 under WINE
- GEdit
- Nessus

How about you? What would you reccomend?

I am quite pleased there is someone who share the "Open Source" passion with me :lol:
Way to go Edd! Open Source rocks!

I use these applications on a regular basis:
FileZilla for all my FTPing.
Chandler a cool PIM
OpenOffice, miles better than Microsoft Office.

Open source is the way forward without a doubt, my friend. If it scares Microsoft to the extent it is, it must be a good thing.

i go for free things, picasa, trial versions of almost all the other softwares mentioned here,

picasa is cool for light editing, perfect for lazy people like me,
if you're a heavy photo editor, photoshop is the ultimate one, gimp is ok and it's free, but i'm used to photoshop already, difficult to change hehehe

besides that, hmmm, is internet explorer and mozilla firefox included?

I use Picasa, AIM, MSN, Google talk, Photoshop, Firefox, and Flash once in a while. I used to use IE alot but with the new firefox add-on I dont have to switch between IE and Firefox all the time. That's made life alot easier. I find myself using less photoshop and less flash recently because I just cant succeed in using those softwares.

Well , it is difficult to name only five , but in order that is -

Firefox - I am online most of the time so , firefox is always there as this is the browser i use .
Adobe photoshop - for obvious reasons , the best for imaging needs
notepad - to write the code snippets
visual studio - for vb programming
nero - i write cds a lot
