I think getafreelancer is really happening these days.

If any one want to outsource his work, then there is no better placd than this.

This company is really working like a bridge between worker & buyer.Their communication is also brilliant.They are always prompt in servcie and guide you to get a good programmer for your work.

On the other hand, workers also get ample scope to bid on to various proejcts under their expertise.

I am stick to GAF and not at all in a mood to go any other place.

I've been registered there a week, and I've already had 3 jobs there. GetAFreelancer is brilliant and I would reccomend it to anyone. It's just unpopular enough for the "little guy" to be able to get work without all the others that have been accumilating jobs for years to take all of them.

I keep on hoping that not many people really find out about getafreelancer so it wouldn't be too hard to compete for the jobs there. Does that makes me a bad person? I suppose there's plenty to share..

You really shouldn't worry about people finding out, because there are just SO many jobs on there. I plan to learn photoshop and flash in the future so I can start. What I do with some buds of mine is I bid and when I get a photoshop job I pay them to do it, and I get to keep like half the money! Cool, huh? But it is THE BEST freelancing website out there. No problems, 100% user friendly. I am highly satisfied with the website.

Ha yeah, I guess it is pretty obvious. I thought self advertising wasn't allowed on this forum? Hmm.. But about GAF, so far there's only one thing I don't like, and it isn't really their fault. If someone doesn't pay you, theres not much you can do about it. Sure, you can find other projects they have open and put a bid saying 'this user doesn't pay' or something like that, but they can just make a new account. I wish GAF had some kind of process where if you don't get paid, they could help you out to make sure you get paid for what you did.

I too love GAF. I have recommended the site to my girlfriend. She just graduated from college and is working several jobs to support herself while she is doing her teaching interns. I think it is a great way for her to make money while she sits in front of her computer.

Yeah. While you sit infront of your computer and do other things, you might as well make money. GAF is really good for women. They can stay at home, get their priorities done, and at the same time make money. Especially if the woman is a stay-at-home mom and has kids. She can do everything, and still make money!

I was a waitress for a long time and I have herniated discs in my neck and other lovely things of that type, so I am looking to do something different. I don't know what it is I want to do, but GAF is something I can do while looking. Things have changed so much since I last worked in an office. Computers were just coming out then and people were still pretty scared of them.

Yeah it really is amazing how computers change everything. Now a days people here have to compete with people overseas for a job. Before you just had to compete with the people around you. Now that the computer has evolved so much, there is so much competition.

American industry has been taken over by outsourcing. We have gone from a strong industrial nation that made things to a nation of information gatherers and paper pushers. It is really sad to see so many people unhappy with their jobs. Some say it is not being able to see what it is you are working on. In the old days, dad maybe had a farm. He had tangible evidence of the job he was doing.
Maybe that is why the Amish people have such a high rate of overall satisfaction in their lives.

I love GAF too. It has helped me get some pretty interesting and fun jobs. There is no other website that produces the results that GAF does. I have looked into other websites and have never gotten a job from any of them. It is great that you can opt to join the Gold Membership or not and still be able to bid on jobs. Most of the other sites want you to join for a fee and you are still not guaranteed to get a job. I'll be sticking with GAF too.

I used Getafreelancer to find some a person to do some article writing - the system seemed to work good the first time without problem.

The second time I used Getafreelancer for some web design work, the person could not finish the problem and Getafreelancer would not refund my money - they charge a fee to post any projects. After weeks, they finally refunded my money.

The third and last time I used Getafreelancer they canceled my project, did not notify me when they canceled it, did not tell me why they canceled it and after repeated emails thru this really clunky helpdesk interface thing they still have not told me why they canceled it and told me they would not refund the money I paid them for the service.

Here is a direct quote from a "ticket" they addressed to me: "Your project violated our rules. In such case fees are not refunded."

If you are looking for work perhaps getafreelancer may be OK. But if you are on the other side of the fence and are seeking someone to do work for you I would recommend against getafreelancer. Poor communication and questionable business practices. Getafreelancer = problems.

really, GAF is working nice these day's. You can get really good projects about your interests.

Even you don't need to pay anything for getting project.

Use it if you want to be your own BOSS.

But make sure that you get ESCROW, before start working on any project.
