Keywords are the key to good SEO. make a list of keywords, talk to colleagues and friends for input. Think of a main keyword and develop a short to the point phrase around it - put yrself in the shoes of a potential customer. Dont go for the obscure - it just puts people off and they wont return. And make sure keyword positioning on the webpage is well thought out.
Another suggestion in regards to keywords within the meta tags is to remember that people do mistype words in the search engine. Goggle does offer the recommended correct spelling in a goggle link, but many web developers take advantage of this percentage of users and mistype some popular keywords. Some are against this technique, others are for it. Actually id like to know what others think about this
I like to look at common spelling mistakes for words I want and add them to the list. Many words are spelled incorrectly by many people; in some searches, incorrect spellings are searched more often than their correct counterparts.
You got to think about everything if you want to be on top or if you want to stay on top.
I'm guilty of typing mistakes. I never learnt to type so I'm probably doing something wrong. Actually off-topic, but does anyone know if there is any spell-check software that works across all the programs installed on your computer and whilst surfing the net?
