Default How to start your online business??

Internet is not a "get-rich quick" medium. Your success will greatly depend on your patience, perseverance and ability to take advantage of opportunities in this hyper-fast environment. Nonetheless, the Internet presents vast opportunities and advantages for a home-based entrepreneur.

The online revolution is spreading like wildfire. Experts predict that by the year 2002, more than 300 million people across the globe will have Internet access. In such a short span of time, the Web as a business tool has become an established part of the business environment, profoundly altering the way business is conducted. It has definitely come at a right time.

As more people are riding the Internet bandwagon, everyone is talking about Internet millionaires and young computer wizards who became very rich overnight sitting in front of their computer monitors. Traditional businesses have begun getting their presence felt in the Internet—even mortuaries and memorial parks, hoping to ride on the Internet hysteria. Even income opportunity brokers keep telling everyone how they became millionaires through the Internet.

But are they really making it on the Net? I don’t believe so. Before anything else, we have to consider these basic facts. As in any other business, some will make a lot of money. Some will make some money; some will not make any. Some will go out of business. And some will be gone before they even start.

Let’s face it, the Web is unproven as a marketing medium. Web experts love to pontificate about how to be successful, but the truth is that “what works” and “what doesn’t work” depends on your individual business situation and marketing plan and how you go about incorporating Web marketing into them.

Nonetheless, the super-confident notion that “If they made it, why can’t I?” drives a growing number of individuals to join the ranks of net-entrepreneurs who have reportedly found financial nirvana on the Internet.

But what is the real deal? Here are some insights to help you understand the online business:

Forget the idea that you can get rich quick in the Internet. Your success will greatly depend on your patience, perseverance and ability to take advantage of fast opportunities in this hyper-fast environment. Believe me, it is a lot of hard work.

As a home-based worker venturing in the Internet business, you have a lot of advantages, though.

Your start-up capital can be very minimal. Since you will be in the Internet, you can operate in the “comfort of you own home", which means you don’t worry about an office space to rent. Your location is where you are but you can reach the whole world from there.

You only need to purchase a good computer (if you don’t have one yet), an Internet connection, a telephone line or two, and some notebooks and bond paper. Other equipment can come later, depending on the availability of funds. As usual, we assume that since you are venturing as a home-based business, you are considerably low on the budget. In the Internet, this is not a problem. You don’t even worry about that. If you have credit, you can use your credit card for getting your Internet Service and telephone connection and the little things you need. For office furniture, use your dining or kitchen table and dining chairs. Wooden boxes in your garage will make do as side tables and cabinets.

Vast international exposure. The Internet opens the whole world to you. It’s up to you take advantage of it. Consumers, investors, foreign contacts are all available at the click of the “mouse”.

Huge growth potential. If you play your cards right, your future outlook is assured by the fact that your potential customers or clients can double or triple in a very short period of time. As your presence gets noticed 24 hours a day, around the world, your market could grow faster than you would have thought.

You work you own hours. Although, we assure you that you will be working more hours than you would have imagined, it becomes fun rather than work. However, you can still maintain your own working schedule if you are really conscious about time. Remember, it’s your own.

Inexpensive advertising and promotions. In the Internet, most of the initial work you must do is to get your presence felt in as many places as you can. Make use of all the FREE advertising and FREE links that are readily available for everyone.

Electronic transmission of information. Make use of your e-mail or fax machine. Promote, send catalogues, send newsletters to prospects without buying a single postage stamp. Except for your fees to your Internet Service Provider (ISP), your web hosting company, and your local telephone service, all your communication in the Internet can be relatively FREE.

Flexibility. In the Internet, you can change your line of business anytime you feel like it. You can add or change into another at the click of the mouse and some pounding on the keyboard.

No hassles. No neon signs to tear down. No shelves to move around.

Starting-up your Internet business can be done without leaving your home.

Except for a trip to the circuit court to register your business name and one to your local bank to open your bank account, almost your operations can be done on top of your desk.

The Internet is a content market. You only have to know how to write. If you are good in written communication, you have the edge. Everything depends on your ability to relate to your prospects or clients by the way you present your product or service in writing.

Opening your Internet business now is akin to securing your prime area in a vacant lot where a city will soon be built. Just keep on going

Internet is just a replacement for more effective and out reaching, than news papers/ward of mouth ect. The fabrics of successful business though remain the same as before –strong fundamentals professional attitude. Yes you need to grab the opportunities but also be put in a lot of work-generator via internet otherwise.

I think that slowly the stigma that working from the internet is changing as it becomes more accessible. It used to be if you worked on the internet as a source of income people would look at you inferiorly but I think society is beginning to realize now how widespread, versatile the internet really is. Figures show that more people are now shopping online and doing their banking, taxes booking flights etc…

Its true as with every industry, some will make it, some will fail. They say that for every 10 businesses one will succeed, the rest will fail.

I totally support you.

The picture is really changing now and now earning thru Internet gradually becomes familiar to society.

In developing countries like India, Pakistan & others, Internet seemed to be time pass for chatting , downlaoding music etc.

Though, there are some sort of consciousness is spreading now in those countries.

But, still we have to travel miles to change the attitude of society.

Cheers!!

we should start selling "how to make money online" products to these people, might be slow for some time, until they pick up the trend, few years is also possible, but I guess, when the market there really picks up, and they start looking for products like these, it's too late to jump in anymore right.

So, if you're patient enuff, consider building enough income streams targetted to these people, so, when they do pick up and start looking for your products, you'll have more than enough products/websites for them to buy from you. Mega profit possibilities dude!

Just a simple idea, the Internet revolves mainly using english language, I wonder if it's advisable to buy some master resale rights products and just translate everything to the native language of your prospects, sounds really tempting and potential, but I wonder, once they're through with your products, would they be able to follow the recommendations and knowledge you've passed to them since most of the things they need, the best hostings, etc etc, are all in english???

What do you think?

Thanks for your opinion. But, the problem is not for the language in India. As you may be knowing, India has the largest english speaking skilled workers in the world.

I am thinking about the remaining percentages of people who are novice to online.

Actually, population in our country is almost 1million and in spite of having the largest no. of skilled english speaking work force, a huge number of people are still in dark.

So, language is not the problem u know.

Anyways, good response from you.

chhers,

Sourabh.

Anyone who wishes to start e-business or online employment should tread very carefully. Like in all business there are fraudsters who are waiting to jump on gullible people. Check with friends before you commit on any up front payment. Any site requesting for up front payment is the tip of another ‘pyramid’ episode.

but don't all e-commerce sites sell something and you need to pay the moment you buy it??

so how do we differentiate the scams and the good ones?

Paying to buy a product is different. What I meant was paying to get a job or some work or to find the source for the work. It is true that the person who finds its needs a cut. This must be paid after the realisation of the work and the payment for it.

i know what u mean but it's hard to find people who would start the work without an initial upront amount don't you think,

if i were a freelancer, i wouldn't start working unless a certain upfront deposit is paid, ain't that logical?

Janetgan it is not the worker who is asking for an upfront payment. It is the service provider (employer) who is asking for a sum before the work is allocated to the worker. This is what I am referring to all along.

Default Business online is highly profitable

I am learning to like E-business despite the fact that my line of career is education. Here, I am the sole manager of my time and I can control commitments.

My friends taught me doing business on-line, this is a very good home-based means of profiting. Aside from the fact, that I learn more through worldwide access of information; I am more acquianted with almost everything about life.

E-business is really very good independent way to earn where you can be your own mentor.

There is no "BOSSISM".But, it is really very tough to achieve success in this arena. Only qualified and organised experienced fellow can celebrate success here.

So, alwyas think thousand times before choosing an online carrer leaving your regular physical occupation.

Cheers!!

Sourabh.

how to , oh that is a tricky question . first of all it is the individual choice i think what he wants to achieve as bigger aims will start differently than the others. Plus , when you do want to first thing is that you need two months to atleast learn the process completely as working without learning is like " little knowledge is a dangerous thing " . and when you do check out the forum topics for help .
