I too am wondering the same thing...but to answer your question if you already have a source of income why not just think of it as an additional source....I mean until it became silly for you to be doing your when at home your making money without really doing anything because that is what it would seem like happens with affiliate programs.
I mean that and updating your webpage from time to time to keep new content flowing through that would basically be the only job you would have to do if the affiliate program was working well.
Because if it is commission based with the affiliates then I don't see why it wouldn't be anything other than an additional source of income. Not to mention what is your consideration of full-time living?
Full time living to me would be a nice 20/hour with benefits and vacation time...now if you some how could generate traffic flow on your sites to where you were one of the top sites out there then hey pure numbers should have you well above that 20/hour mark I mean for every 1000 people that hit your site 10 might buy something off that other site well if just think of the commissions that you would get if you somehow were getting 1 million customers coming to your site or more...the numbers could be exciting.
just a thought let me know what you think
