well i have made about 40 sites in my life and submited all of them to different search engines, from personal experience i can say is that yahootakes justa few days to have your site in there list, where as the other takes weeks, yahoo is really fats when it comes to listing new sites, and thats just great. keep up the good work yahoo!

Im pleased your submission to Yahoo was pretty seamless, in my case it took several weeks to be listed.

Yes , it is faster to get listed in yahoo . I have seen that too when i submitted my blog to many search engines . I also noticed the listing in msn being faster . Google takes more time , I think maybe because the most websites target google and it being fairly larger as a search engine might be having many more submissions to look after to . It takes at least 6 months to list a new website in Google search engine result pages. You will have to be patient and wait for the page to appear in top ranking. Sometimes your new website appears on the top rank and suddenly falls down. There are many theories regarding this sudden change in the website ranking.
