I havent had it hijacked yet... but I am contantly getting emails trying to scam me out of my login details. Have you ever responded to such emails? They look genuine, but hardly ever are. Everytime I need to contact ebay or use my account I always do it through the website (never clicking any links)

If it has been hijacked maybe someone knows your login details.. ahve you checked for viruses on your computer such as the key loggger one??

I've read alot about peoples Ebay and PayPal accounts getting messed up. What they usually tell me is that there are 2 ways that this happens.
A) People create a fake login screen which looks EXACTLY like the regular one, but the link is different. So you should always check the link at the top to make sure its ebays. Or, you can download the E-bay toolbar which will tell you if its a real page or not.
B) People send fake emails which ask for your account info. If you usually read there privacy policy or terms or something like that it usually says something like 'Ebay will never ask for your account information by email' or something like that.

I get a least one fake e-mail from ebay each day and I hardly ever use my ebay account. I always forward these spoofs to ebay and I get an almost instant email back saying that these are indeed spoofs.

Yeah, this also depends on what e-mail you use I guess. I use Gmail and when I look in my spam folder alot of fake Ebay emails are there. So, I guess if you have good spam protection this won't be as big of a problem as to if you don't. But remember that ebay and paypal will never ask you for your password over an email.

not as yet , but there are many people i know who have had their accounts hacked . not really hacked but tricked into getting their login details , mostly have been with the phising scams . One of my colleagues got an email of making some money with ebay , actually she was so new to money making thing on the internet and felt lured by the idea , she lost about 300 $ in the process .
