Paid to surf: is it really profitable?

I want to dsicuss some primary issues related to paid to surf sites.

I hope all the forum members are aware of these websites which pay you inly for surfing their specific number of ads per day.


There are thousands of paid to surf sites and it is really a tough call for a marketer to decide the righht paid to surf site.


Several paid to surf sites have gone down after a successful starting.

Actually, i think if you can afford some extra money then only you can go for some trusted paid to surf sites.


Paid to surf field is very much unpredictable and one should not invest a large amount of his hard earned money to these type of programs.

Presently, i suggest only invest to 2/3 websites only after through research.

If you choose the right site, then you can easily earn some quick buck in a couple of months with out any effort.

Is your post from a viewpoint of webmasters or people who take part in these programs? As a web developer I have never thought to particpate in these programs, but I have particpated in them as a web surfer and dont think it was at all worthwhile, plus I think I had spyware software installed on my computer

Sorry I didnt think through my last post, as this is a webmasters forum, it was probably from a webamasters viewpoint. if you have any paid to programs that you would reconmend Id be happy to hear about them. Especially if you can get them to target a specific demograhic

yes, please share what you know about these opportunities as I have been looking for something that may help me pay my bills and at the same time I enjoy being online. much of the time im online and i want to make the most out of it.

Hmmm, I'm not so sure about that you know,

First of all, participating in paid to surf programs are usually meant for internet surfers instead of merchants. As a surfer, I would basically keep myself logged in and let the annoying pop-ups pop up on my screen, coz I know it'll make me some money after a while. But usually, instead of checking out the contents of the pop-ups, I'll most likely wait for it to fulfill the duration of time it needed to be on my screen, as specified by the program rules and such, and then close it. I hardly trust anything I read from these pop-ups.

As a merchant considering to participate in these programs is even crazier! I think it'll bring down the image of your website more than it would make you any profits. How could you expect any return of investment from it? They will send you traffic, but bad quality traffic most likely. Definitely not my cup of tea.

I have to admit when I did ages ago sign up for those paid to surf program i only kept it on my screen active for the minimum time never really paying attention to any of the merchant sites

You can't earn much - it's a waste of time for you as a surfer
You won't pay attention to ads - it's a waste of money for the one who pays you to surf particular sites...

it's a total waste of time for everyone except the company who provided the service, sucking money from new or inexperienced advertisers who pay them for this silly service!

On the other hand, based on my experience, i actually earned something. But its too good to be true and this thing doesn't last long. So, i stopped. Sites such as studiotraffic.com and 12dailypro.com did pay people to surf for quite sometime. If you want to go through this autosurf thing, just be carefull and don't get too greedy. Invest a little and once you earn profit from it, get your money out as soon as you can. Because each of these sites tend to dissapear very quickly along with your money.

Yeah, I agree with everyone else. Your probably not going to earn much, and that's if your earning anything at all. Most of the time when I see some offer like this I read the fine print. Recently I read something that said if you just keep a few browsers open and keep your computer on, then you'll get paid. It seemed too good to be true. Also, for you to make money, someone is losing money. So consider how they are making profit, and then you'll have a good sense of if your really going to get paid, and how much you should get paid.
