Default A good tracking tool

http://www.asrep.com is popular and assists you in tracking what the url and referring url is when a visitor clicks on an adsense ad. It has a simple interface but it has good features. Though there are some free ones around too but they usually dont work with firefox etc.

Any views??

The Adsense program is Web related so you must have a website to participate. Once your website is ready and the contents optimized, you can submit your application.

Google approves most of the sites but ensures that they are of acceptable standard. It takes 2-3 days. Once approved you can immediately participate in the Adsense program by logging into your account.

There are specific areas in your web pages that are recommended by Google which have been found to generate more clicks.

According to Google Ads placed above the fold tend to perform better than those below the fold.

Ads placed near rich content and navigational aids usually do well because users are focused on those areas of a page.

Ads placed at the top of the page and at the left generally perform better than others.

I don't want to build a website for Adsense :!:

I want to build a website and then if I decide to go with Adsense I'll optimise it for Adsense...

My website seems to have more visitors on the food section. I suppose all i need to do is to go with the flow and improve that section, huh? And put more adsense there.

One vital link in making real money through a Google AdSense campaign is accurate data and data analysis. If you’re not tracking the performance of ads being placed on your pages, there is one very good reason why you should be: by learning which formats of ads on what type of pages perform best on your site, you can weed out the ones that don’t offer any real value and focus on increasing the combinations that bring in the most ROI that is return of investment .
