Default What yahoo! means

Just to share, most people still do not know what Yahoo! really stands for, well, I now know...it stands for "Yet Another Hierarchical Officious Oracle"

This is taken from one of the Yahoo websites, so, don't worry, it's confirmed to be right, and you won't be laughed at when you tell your friends about it.

That may be what it means, but to me every time I hear the word yahoo, I remember the movie IQ when Einstein rode a motorbike and yelled out Yahoo! The movie was made in 93 I think, before the name for the search engine was founded (which was ’94) so I like to think the movie had a helping hand in naming the search engine. …..

I like the netgal06 version.

That kind of thinking gives more "life" to technology and I like that.

well, i'm sure most of you have heard the way they sing the 'yahoo' word in their ad. Maybe they should make an ad using that movie's scene. That would be fun.
