Does the government benefit from any online business?
I believe there is territorial law. Once someone is earning some enormous amounts, does the government have some share? Is there a charged tax in your purchased item from the internet? In Internet system my transaction could transcend international territories, I am really wondering if there is any issue about that condition. I learned from my friends, if I correctly understood the concept, once I purchased something in the other country the shifting fee is highly charged because of some taxing. Hence, the government is imposing some interests as part of their revenue. In online business, is the process of taxing similar? Or, maybe I could consider internet as a free market system meaning as the function of internet prescribes, it transcends national and even international boundaries. If that is the case, surely the government is hands off to internet services or online business in general.

i'm sure in the legal ways, web companies are paying taxes to the government, so, definitely, the government is making money from the web

yes of course, government do benefit from it, in the form of taxes, but those who run away and never report their online profits, well, government won't get anything from there then

Well the only way they benefit in my opinion is from the taxes. Most e-businesses have to pay tax to the government. For those of you that participate in Google AdSense, you might not know this, but there is tax required for Google AdSense. So, if you participate in it and make money from it, then you will have to pay the government later on. So, to sum it up, the government does benefit from the online businesses!

It depends upon the country or place that you reside in . These factors are something that will be considered if the country employees enough resources in the development of websites and all ,and there are numerous servers working or atleast a fair amount o capital is kept for this work solely . In many asian countries it is still not so and they rely on us to provide the hosting and all as the system is still not so developed , the only thing is the internet access that is linked to online business , so depends on your place .
