Are you not alarmed of the explosive growth of the internet?
The volatile intensification of internet usage and access to it is quite startling. There is the emergence of ‘digital division’ between those who can afford Internet access and those who cannot. At least in the case of academic field, the government or other agencies of computer units provide schools in order to expose the students to computers. Yet, mind you, there are schools in far-flung areas, which do not have electricity; how could they be exposed to the uses of computers and even the internet? I am thinking of the poor ones who have been left behind as jobs and opportunities in the United States economy increasingly shift to Internet-related businesses. At least in my Asian country the influential arena of e-business is not yet much rampant; only the company empires, e-commerce literate individuals, and those who were influenced by the e-commerce and information technology are into this e-business. If all the jobs have been transformed to online ones, the people who are less educated and had never had the exposure to computer would not be able to participate on the business trade. By the way, based on my experience, I am learning a lot about online businesses due to my exposures and not due to any diploma. Yet, acquired skills would be better enhanced if there had been some education even informal or tutorial ones.

Yes, i've known plenty of people with diplomas and degrees that doesn't really much regarding the internet let alone participating in the online business. They know the simple such as browsing around or sending emails, but they dont go further than that.
But also i've known plenty of people that doesn't even finish college, but in front of their computers they turn into some kind of genius. So, i guess when it comes to the internet's world, you cant learn it from the classroom. You need to research it and experience it yourself, huh?

Why is that? Because while someone spent his time on learning the theory in school, other was practicing the way of the internet.
Way of the internet - You'll say. By searching the net he/she could find much more information and knowledge than in school. By the past 10 years this person gathering (experience, and understanding of the net) would be much more skilled and open for new technologies, knowledge and with that ready for the future than other non technical person.

And another thing that i noticed, and this time its regarding the online business, is their way of thinking. Most people with degrees and diplomas thinks that an online business isn't the reason why they study for years and graduate. Most of them aren't thinking of starting a business at all. With that piece of paper, they have their mind sets on a good, secure and comfy day job. So, they don't see the need to explore more about this e-business.
Rowena, you can get an informal lessons regarding e-business here. In this very forum. I notice there so many experts in here that i think i'm in a gold mines.

I believe that forum like this is comparable to gold mine. My mere participation to each discussion and my attempts to do some research about interested topics really help me widen up my horizon of knowledge. I wish to commend those people who imparted their knowledge about e-business and about other stuff. I am starting to appreciate e-busines.

I wish to commend your opinion. Ten years from now, an internet user could become more knowledgeable than anyone who is enrolled in school. Yet, any student can really maximize his/her use of internet access. In fact, research in school and academic papers can easiy be speed up through clicks and uses of search engines. All they have to do is absorb the thoughts and build the body of their academic papers out of gathered data; not by plagiarizing but by their own originalityand exercise of writing styles and skills as well.

In fact, based on my experience I learned surfing the internet not in school or in the four corners of our classroom. I learned about it through my own exploration of internet in our computer laboratory and to my PC. Before, I was just taught of browsing some Web sites, sending e-mails, etc. When I was in college, I realized the significance of internet and how much more online businesses. Oh! Internet is very useful for me and to anyone else.

Might be two years back , but not now, as now it is too normal for me to think of the internet as an integral part of my life . anyone quite urbane and educated will think the same now , but still as the rate of growth of people coming online is growing this might be alarming . plus the huge and huge amounts of money being made online everyday and people becoming rich only here is quite noticeable.
