Lycos & ask join forces
Mercury News: "Oakland-based Ask.com and Lycos Inc., a leading web portal, announced a multiyear agreement whereby Ask.com will be the search and sponsored listings provider for the Lycos Network, including Lycos.com, Hotbot.com, Tripod.com and Angelfire.com."

though, it remains a point of contention that PPC providers ensure that they provide quality traffic on quality sites, in order for advertisers to feel they’re getting a real deal.It comes at a time when advertisers are increasingly concerned about the quality of sites and traffic they gain through PPC advertising.Overall, it remains to be seen whether the Ask/Lycos partnership can deliver value traffic for PPC advertisers.
