Default Some nifty tips for affiliate marketers

Are you promoting an affiliate program? Do you feel like it's taking you ages to make that first and subsequent sale?

Consider these tips and see how far you can go with a bit of tweaking:

- Keep your items related to a niche: If you have a mishmash of CD's, DVDs, books, eletronic items and software tools not related to each others and all cluttering the same page, chances are you visitor will quickly hit the back button. Get organised and list your items according to niche / type of item in a nice, pleasant layout.

- Add content: don't just copy and paste link. Add your own content / review of the item.

- Make it personalised: Add a personal touch. Instead of just describing something in abstract terms, make it yours. Say: "I have this book and I find it...", "This software is installed in my hard drive...".

-Urge your visitors to click / buy: This may sound like stating the obvious, but you'll be amazed just how a simple "buy now" button / text can skyrocket your clickthroughs and subsequent conversions. Urge them to buy at least once in your recommendation of the product.
