Reach refers to how many people view the ad. Television as a medium has great reach, in that many people view TV ads, but the ads are the same for everyone.

The Internet age brings a new way of communicating with potential customers. Most companies doing e-commerce advertise their products through targeted e-mails and banner ads that appear when customers search for certain keywords. Ads can have both richness and reach. Creating and placing these messages in banner ads and e-mail is a way to draw customers to the company’s Web site. More than just reaching any audience , it is more important to reach the target customers that is essential and I think in such cases buying hits do not work at all . reach will then be defined as the size of the audience who listen to, read, view or otherwise access a particular work in a given time period.Online advertising is aure much cheaper , but you cannot just deny that it is much more risky too . But at the same time , targeting to reach the potential audience is easier here as you advertise where you want to and make only a section of people see you ad .
