Default What's the best online payment method to use?

On GAF, you can do paypal, direct transfer, checking, E-gold, money bookers, and Western Union. I mostly do paypal, but I've been starting to question it lately because of all the service charges. Do you think paypal is the best one or is any of them better? The direct wire transfer is good if you live in Sweden, and if your transferring alot of money. Cause it takes a straight $15 fee if your not from Sweden. Paypal takes about 30 cents and then 2.4% fixed, what do yall use?

I think it depends upon your location and amount you are expected to process with, as per my knowledge paypal, 2checkout are the widely used payment gateways for US and asian countries, worldpay/moneybookers/chronopay are preferred choice for EU countries.

I use paypal as well. I find it works great for me and the small fee they charge is worth the security I feel when I use this service. The money is usually deposited into your account if that is what you are using immediately. It is free to transfer money to your bank account as well. Let's face it, whatever method you choose, you are going to have to pay some sort of fee. As I said, (knock on wood) I like knowing paypal has never been compromised and I think that identity theft is high on there list of service concerns.

It's damn easy to get started with PayPal. If you have a bank account you can set up your business account at PayPal in a matter of minutes. You can quickly generate buttons that allow your visitors to "buy now" or "add to cart."You don't need a Merchant Account. You don't need a gateway processor. You don't need secure server space. You don't need a security certificate. PayPal handles all of these issues for you.
