Default Ucita.

The Uniform Computer Information Transaction Act (UCITA) is a proposed state law that applies to contracts to create, modify, transfer or license computer information. Computer information, in today's technology, is digital information. UCITA is a provision similar to the Uniform Commercial Code ("UCC")– but for computer information rather than "goods." UCITA has been adopted in Virginia and Maryland and proposed in 12 other states, including Colorado.

More or less , I have seen that most of the people are against UCITA . It is long, confusing, and unnecessarily complex. Instead of providing greater predictability in the law governing computer information transactions, as proponents claim, UCITA will create more uncertainty.Numerous provisions in UCITA change current law to the detriment of individual consumers and business and institutional users of software.. Among other things, it is anticipated that UCITA will result in higher asset management, legal and contract negotiation costs.
