Article directories?

I recently got a freelancing job where I have to write articles and then put them in a directory with my service buyers link in them. Question number 1 is what's the point of this? I'm guessing it's so people who read that will visit his website, right? Question 2. Can anyone give me some easy article directories that are good and user friendly? Thanks!

hmmm, for question 2, try searching for "free articles" in google and you'll get a lot of stuff to read about, most of them would give you articles just like the one you need to write about, only in a different topic, but there'll be that link in the articles as what your clients want,

so, i think it'll be a great referrence material for you

Well, what I did was I hired someone to get 12 remaining links for me. I payed $5. $5 for 12 links is pretty good on their end. They got me most of the links so far. They used articlehouse.com , and that turned out to be pretty fast. Now I'm just going to keep a database of article directories on my computer, so whenever I have a project like that again it'll be really easy..

Good Idea making list of particular url's.

In any article you have to use as many keywords as possible. It makes your article popular. and by this way your article will be more popular.

This is best way of getting link for your site. Simply put you site link in your article & publish it on as many sites as you can.

yeah, article is a great method since it's literally free for you to write and free for youi to publish em too, if i were to build an e-comm biz, i'd go for article writing too coz it doesn't need to incur costs

Thanks to monty for the huge list .
And yes they work exactlu like this , when you submit to article directories , especially high traffic article directories with the link of a website , the people will definately visit your the website provided . Good articles ensure that more than anything . This is like another way to get a targeted traffic , becaus elink is similar to the article and only people who are interested read and it and come to the website .

Also, what you can do is put a link at the end of the article. Then, you can insert some HTML so that there is a phrase which people will search in Google. But, you hyperlink the text so that when they click on the phrase it will take them to your website. So, when people search the popular phrase in Google it will take them to your website.

From what i know, the site visits it get from the inserted links on the articles generates traffic to the site. so having to produce traffic in your site means better marketability of the website. bec some dot com business/companies use their traffic hits as market strategy by showing to potential clients that their site has good "audience".

its like saying "hey, look at our site it gets this certain amount of user visit...isnt it nice to invest/advertise in here?"

Right , article submission is one sureshot and good way to get targeted and good traffic . But the article you submit must be good in quality so that people really feel like clicking on the link at the bottom of your website to keep checking what you actually do . And go for good keywords in your article , but dont just include them for the heck of only keyword inclusion . Also go for article directories like ezine and goarticles and also findarticle , because they are highly searched and the cheances of your article being read are more .
