Links or content?

So, as i was saying, are links more important than the site's content itself or they are equally as important? Say if you have such a great content, is it safe to not pay attention to the link building?

I'll say both , but content comes first . See who would like to link to your website if it doesnot have quality content . You must have heard that "Content is the king ". And indeed , it is for valid reasons like - if you provide quality content , people will come to your website for it , they will recomend it to everyone , they can bookmark your link , they may be interested in the services you provide - and this is exactly what you want . only links may get visitors , but without content , they may not stay there .

Site contents & Site links both plays important role for a successful site.

If you have bulk of links for a dump site, then it will worth zero for that site.

Also if you have a good site with rich contents, but no links then it will have same zero value.

SO you have to focus on both ,contents as well as links.

Because , I have seen that new bloggers rely totally on the link building strategy to get some good quantity ( but not quality )traffic , but that traffic is of no use as they do not even stay there which can be seen from the fact that they do not convert to either adsense clicks or any of the affiliate conversions for which they do link building . also google is smart enough to recognize the excessive link building and that proves harmful for the website . Putting up a good content goes way ahead to get a good traffic that will be beneficial ., because people want it .
