It is true that English is a must for the Internet. But the reason to diversify in to other languages is due to the fact that there are very intelligent people out there who do not know English. I will tell you a thing that I experienced a few years ago:
I was in Beijing discussing a project to extract pineapple juice from pineapples. I was meeting two companies. One in Beijing, China and the other in Tokyo, Japan. I had discussions with both engineers at their places. The Chinese Engineer did not speak a word of English. But the process he designed was simple, less expensive and in my opinion the best. When I suggested his process to the Jap he was surprised!
So you will agree that, by making other languages available on the internet, it will help these intelligent people to make their contributions for the betterment of mankind.
