Yahoo! bought Mybloglog.com for about $10 million
Yahoo! has recently purchased Mybloglog.com. Though it was not particularly disclosed how much Yahoo! had shelled out for the purchase of the Orlando-based site, it was speculated that it wouldn't be less than $10 million.
Mybloglog.com boasts about 45,000 blogs and close to 3 million readers a day, making it much interesting for advertisers, which drive is now to Yahoo!'s gain.
The purchase has also brought about some cool changes for Yahoo! users, who will now be able to register on the blog site with their Yahoo! password. So as for Mybloglog users who will eventually be able to access Flicker and Yahoo! Answers community boards.
Mybloglog.com differs from other blog site by letting bloggers know about the person reading their posts and readers being able to introduce and further communicate amongst other blog readers. It is like networking with a certain twist.
With this trend, the value of information, its transfer from one person to another, has become even more powerful!
