Default Pope Against Violent Video Games

It wouldn't be a surprise though, Pope Benedict XVI expressed his opinion calling violent or sexually explicit video games as “perversion” and “repulsive.”

The pope transcended this message last Wednesday as a part of his annual papal message for World Communication Day with this year's theme, Children and the Media: A Challenge for Education.

The Pope is just doling his vital role to Christian community as the highest church leader. There’s no doubt that The Pope is definitely against any forms of violence because he is living in accordance of the rightful deeds and laws of the Bible. It’s been a Pope's normal character to be against any forms of violence even in an entertaining form like video games. I believe that the Pope's message are words of concern to people of Christian community.

Yeah, many people look up to the Pope so he has to serve as a good role model for the youth. It's good that he is against that stuff because there are going to be many people that want to be like him, and when he makes the right decision hes putting a positive influence on the youth.

Computer and video games have been the subject of frequent controversy and censorship, due to the depiction of graphic violence, sexual themes, racism, consumption of illegal drugs, consumption of alcohol or tobacco, propaganda or profanity in some games. Among others, critics of video games sometimes include parents' groups, politicians, organized religion groups, and other special interest groups, and may become a part of new laws and legislation in the United States and other countries.
