Super-Bluetooth invades handy

The launching of “super bluetooth” aka ultra wideband (UWB) on the mobile market is on its way in despite an industry avoidance of the protocol.

The super bluetooth, which will be operated by a South Korean mobile operator can actually transfer data at 480Mbit/s that should reach handset users in 2008.

The company also plans to build an eco-system of services which will be available in kiosks on different shops. It will also enable the users to download music and movies in no time. Shop owners will also provide locally streamed content. Just like combining latte and Blockbuster stop, or download your favorite movie at the airport.

So this is another reason for the techy freaks to look forward to the super B!

Super bluetooth is ultra broadband .According to CIO Magazine, SK Telecom is going to use this EC approved, fast wireless technology. Once referred to as, “pulse-radio” this protocol has been beaten back by phone vendors that haven’t figured out how to capitalize on the increase in speed it will bring it’s users. Someone please tell these companies, “it’s ok to innovate again.”
