Default iPod Shuffle in Five Cool Colors

iPod Shuffle is now available in five new colors; blue, pink, green, orange, and its original, silver. The idea behind this is to promote the iPod shuffle in a fashionable sense, that someone can “wear” it and match with their clothes.

The new design has a built-in clip that you can attach in your pocket. 1 GB iPod shuffle costs $79.

Ha, I guess apple is trying to be more appealing towards women, because usually they are the ones that have the fashionable sense. They also made it only $79 instead of the other kinds of iPods which usually cost alot more than that. Although it is only 1GB, it can still hold plenty of songs.

I strongly agree with you on that astross99. Women are the targeted audiences of Apple on their release of various lavish colors on their Ipod Shuffle products. Apple gained success on this strategy they have done since Ipod Shuffle became much appealing as compared with Ipod Nano. In one of the reviews, I've read, the hue coppery orange is the most eye-catching color be it for men or women.

Well, recently they added the color red for the iPod nano. It is considered the special edition for the nano, and they also donate a portion of their profits to fight against AIDS. That is a good move by Apple, and many people are ordering the red.

I agree that this marketing concept is geared toward women. An iPod is not only a device, it is a fashion statement as well. I know that these colors can complement many outfits and seem to make a huge statement about who you are. I think teens especially will like the new colors. I want a pink one myself.

Completely agree , colors have nothing more to do . They do not enhance a gadget's functioning anyhow .
“When we designed the new shuffle we entered into a new space of fashion—the idea that you can wear it in your favorite color is a great extension,” said Philip Schiller, Apple’s senior vice president of worldwide product marketing.
Now this staement is rather cliched coz there are not only five colors that a normal man can wear , even if so , you can't keep on buying gadgets just because they are in some color .
