Default Dell to make changes.

Dell wants to be dominant like it used to be. A memo was sent to all the Dell employees last Friday to explain the changes that were going to be taking place. The CEO says he wasn't pleased with the results that Dell got last year. The memo also said that Dell will not hire a Cheif Operating Officer, as they are trying to reduce costs so that they can drive the revenue back up. HP took over the number one position over Dell last year for computer manufacturing, and Dell hopes to win it back.

The rivalry between Dell and HP product lines started out wayback 2005, right after Compaq was merged with HP in year 2003. As the computer business innovated, the competiton gets tough between the two brands. Dell fairly cannot compete with HP's printers product lines that monopolizes the scaled businesses' fixed assets and utilization. HP proliant and blade servers are also the most patronized and widely used server products by several business solutions and ISO companies. This is merely because of the established high quality performance and durability of Compaq servers before the merging. The only factor where Dell can be more dominant than HP is the extendable prices they offered.

Yeah, now that I think about it, mostly everything that HP offers is much better than Dell. The only case that Dell has is that their prices are much more friendly. Besides that, everything HP has is better. Infact, the computer and LCD monitor that im using right now is HP, and it's awesome. Sure beats Dell.

I still believe dell is good . they have some really good and powerful systems at affordable rates .I would highly recommend any Dell computer to anyone, just research more about each hardware component to find out exactly what you need (so you don't over spend) before you buy. Check and see if they offer education discounts if you are a student, they might offer $100-200 bucks off of a desktop purchase.
