Default IP Change: Will This Effect in Search Engines

Hi,

I am going to move my website to a new server, so the IP will change, will this affect my website in anyways. i.e. will this affect my backlinks and search engine rankings!

my friend answer is:
There is reason to suspect that Google puts some weight into grouping together IP blocks, especially when it comes to counting backlinks between two sites on the same IP. (There is good reason to believe the sites are affiliated with each other if they both link to each other and are on the same IP block.)

I dont think changing IP addresses will affect your rankings but make sure you are not hosted on blacklisted server with spam websites. There wont be any problem with your backlinks either because the backlinks point to your URL, not your IP.I once changed my webhost and had no problems with search engine ranking or backlinks !

No no , I think it does affect your website somehow , I am not sure about the rankings part but many or you can say most of teh SEOs will tell you that the hostiing company you use and the server of your website are important . Well you can get your own static IP address which instantly erases the threat of Search Engines blacklisting or devaluing your site through someone else's activities.No-one knows for sure if Search Engines prefer a unique IP to one that is shared, however there has been cases when sites release themselves from shared hosting to obtain their own unique IP Address that their rankings improved as well.
