Woman Files $10 Million Lawsuit Against Yahoo For Using Her Picture Without Permission
Shannon Stovall, from Cuyahoga County, Ohio, is suing Yahoo for allegedly using a picture of her without permission. She is seeking $10 million for profits generated using her image and a further $10 million for litigation expenses. According to the suit Stovall's image has been emailed to millions of users, violating her right to privacy and right to control the commercial use of her identity. Late last year Patriots quarterback Tom Brady filed a similar suit against Yahoo.
