Apple has sold 100 million iPods in the 5 1/2 years since CEO Steve Jobs unveiled the music-playing device. That makes iPod the fastest selling music player in history. Jobs has introduced more than ten models since Oct. 2001 including the Mini, Nano, a video iPod and the Shuffle. The total means Apple sold about 11 million iPods in the first three months of the year.

Apple has also announced that they have managed to sell around 600 million songs from their iTunes digital stores throughout the world. Apple has found the combination of Apple iTunes and Apple iPod really working well for them.
